Come back to your life.
Spiritual Formation. Embodied Living. Meaningful Making.
Making room for what is real
You can be living a life and still feel far away from it.
You get up. You go to work. You answer the messages, take care of the people you love, and do what needs to be done.
And somewhere in the middle of all that living, you realize how little of yourself you've brought along.
Perhaps you're in a season of change. Perhaps your faith is asking more questions than it once did. Or perhaps nothing is especially wrong, but you know there is more to your life than getting through it.
My work brings together spiritual formation, somatic practices, prayer, and meaningful making to help you become more present to your life, to others, and to God.
Not somewhere else. Here, in the life you're already living.

A Live Three-Part Gathering
Before the Year is Over
There are things you meant to do this year. Conversations you meant to have. Parts of yourself you were going to return to when life settled down.
And here we are. October.
Before the calendar turns again, we're making some room. To notice what this year has held. To tell the truth about where we are. To consider what we want to carry forward, and what we don't.
Not another list of things to accomplish. A little time to be here for the life that's happening.
October 29 · November 12 · December 10
7 PM Eastern · Live online

Meet Elle.
I'm Elle D. Miller, a spiritual director, somatic practitioner (C-IAYT), writer, and fiber artist based in Blacksburg, Virginia.
I've spent years sitting with people in the midst of life as it happens. Grief, illness, faith that has changed shape, beginnings nobody saw coming. And the quieter questions that arrive when the world goes on as usual, but something within us is asking to be heard.
What keeps me coming back is the wonder of what can happen when we pay attention.
I believe the life of the spirit belongs to the whole person. Our bodies, our histories, our questions, even the ordinary things we do with our hands have something to teach us. And God is not waiting somewhere beyond all of that to be found.
My work draws together spiritual direction, somatic practices, Christian faith, and creativity. There's room for honest questions, unexpected discoveries, laughter, silence, and the possibility that we might leave a conversation seeing something we hadn't noticed before.
I'd be glad to meet you there.
“There is a word in Hebrew that describes Elle and it is this: Chesed. It is loving kindness, love, grace and a deep mercy for all of humanity. She embodies these gifts. Thank you, Elle!”
— Donna Strongheart Godwin
“Elle holds BIG space for all of life's shadows and light. And in all that, it's her undaunted view that we are all amazing human beings as she coaxes us to go beyond our thinking minds and live deeply into our heart's desires.”
— Soleil Hepner C-iayt
What Even More People Are Saying
“Elle is a good listener and has a way of communicating warmth and unconditional positive regard to everyone.”
— Dr. Monya, Psy.D., RYT-200 & Certified Yoga Therapist
“[Elle’s] capacity for deep listening, expertise in working with highly sensitive nervous systems, and ability to facilitate safe spaces of rich exploration, offers an ideal compliment to talk therapy.”
— Jorge C. Armesto, Ph.D., Ed.M.
“My session with Elle reinforced my ability to allow myself to connect with my body naturally, and without forcing anything. It also inspired me to start ‘checking in’ with my body throughout my day, and be mindful of how my body is truly feeling.”
— Alexia Montgomery
“My partner and I both experienced this yoga-therapy-magic. And we haven't been the same since.”
— Marci Craig, Founder of the Mama Movement
