What Others Are Saying

“As a clinical psychologist, I often have patients that need adjunct treatment to help them re-connect with their bodies. Elle is at the top of my referral list to help clients explore the landscape of their bodies. Her capacity for deep listening, expertise in working with highly sensitive nervous systems, and ability to facilitate safe spaces of rich exploration, offers an ideal compliment to talk therapy. Through this collaborative approach, clients are able to compost difficult emotions held in the body and more readily heal and transform traumatic experiences.”

— Jorge C. Armesto, Ph.D., Ed.M.

“Elle holds BIG space for all of life's shadows and light. And in all that, it's her undaunted view that we are all amazing human beings as she coaxes us to go beyond our thinking minds and live deeply into our heart's desires.”

— Soleil Hepner C-iayt

“It's not like yoga.. and it's not like therapy. It's making peace with what's inside, making peace with your partner, and it happens in real time. Elle Miller, owner of Living Mangaliso Body-Based Trauma Recovery, can hold space for you and your partner to experience an emotional intimacy and mutual trust you've never experienced. She sees clients in person and remote. My partner and I both experienced this yoga-therapy-magic. And we haven't been the same since.”

— Marci Craig, Founder of the Mama Movement

“My session with Elle reinforced my ability to allow myself to connect with my body naturally, and without forcing anything. It also inspired me to start ‘checking in’ with my body throughout my day, and be mindful of how my body is truly feeling.”

— Alexia Montgomery (@amsocial)

“Elle is a good listener and has a way of communicating warmth and unconditional positive regard to everyone.”

— Dr. Monya, Psy.D., RYT-200 & Certified Yoga Therapist

'“The first thing I learned from Elle’s breathing techniques was to observe and acknowledge the strength of emotion at play in our daily lives. In the workplace, that energy is both mine and others’. Often this energy is internalized, but still it affects the way we respond, particularly in uncertain situations.

Breathing is something we do all the time. Elle helped me learn to use it as an indicator and then as a means to take a pause. I have done just that during meetings - taken a pause silently - taken the opportunity to re-centre, gather thoughts, jot a few points down, then launch back into debate with focus and energy.

At other times I have taken the opportunity of a comfort break to walk and ponder, breathing more deeply as I move, stretching in the bathroom - gathering my awareness through physical movement.

On business trips I have encountered great stress with deadlines to deliver creative solutions (part of my work is analysis). Elle taught me a stretch I could do in any hotel room, lying full length on the bed. It worked - when the stress grew, I stretched - creativity regained space in my mind and the solution was delivered.

Now I have learned to monitor my own emotional energy, what builds it, what saps it. It’s a rich source of insight. Often I choose to intervene more precisely having harnessed these indicators.

At a personal level I combine breathing and stretching with physical exercise. I am fitter as a result; I heal quicker; I learn something each day. I take all of that resource to work with me.

During the COVID challenges these resources have helped me adapt to working remotely. Often the quiet view, expressed respectfully, has been a key to decisions made a few days later about how to adapt our operations.”
