A journey through the sacred hungers that bring us home.
There Is a Reason
You’re Exhausted
Six Sacred Hungers
1. Hungry for Rest
The ache that returns us to breath; holiness rediscovered in the pause.
“In returning and rest is your salvation; in quietness and trust is your strength.” — Isaiah 30:15
2. Hungry for Substance
The craving for what endures—truth that nourishes, not flatters; bread that holds.
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” — Deuteronomy 8:3
3. Hungry for Quiet
The longing to hear again beneath the noise—to meet God in the hush where presence speaks without words.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
4. Hungry for Wholeness
The gathering back of what has been scattered; the slow integration of body, heart, and spirit into peace.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
5. Hungry to Belong
Fed people becoming bread; communion over crowd, love that repairs what it touches.
“Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body.” — 1 Corinthians 10:17
6. Hungry for His Presence
Abiding, not achieving; life with God as the point, not the prize.
“Abide in Me, and I in you.” — John 15:4
