Milestones Along the Way

We move slowly, steadily, together.

This journey has not been about rushing toward mastery. It has been about learning to walk in step with Presence.
Each pause, each breath, each stretch of quiet has been a seed planted—some seeds sprout quickly, others take their time.

You began with 30 seconds.
You learned to sit for a minute, then five, then ten.
You stretched into thirty minutes, and some of you into an hour or more.

You have felt the way silence changes shape: sometimes heavy, sometimes light, sometimes filled with a sweetness you cannot name.
You have learned that stillness is not the absence of sound, but the presence of God.

The Road We’ve Traveled & Where It Leads

Begin with short daily pauses
These small moments are not less than—they are the foundation. You can always return here when life feels scattered or too full.

Build toward 30–60 minutes of silence
This is where presence deepens and the surface noise begins to fall away.

Practice your own 3-hour self-led silent window
A chance to notice what rises when there is more room for breath, prayer, and stillness to take root.

Scripture to Carry With You

“In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.”
—Isaiah 30:15

“Be still, and know that I am God.”
—Psalm 46:10

Reflection Questions for the Whole Journey

  • What has shifted most in you since you began practicing silence?

  • Which length of silence felt most natural to you? Which stretched you most?

  • How has God met you in stillness?

  • What will it look like to keep silence woven into your everyday life after this course ends?

  • Who might you invite into shared stillness with you?

A Final Somatic Practice to Carry With You

The Breath and the Hands

Wherever you are—in your kitchen, your car, a busy café—pause for a moment.

  1. Place your hands softly on your lap, palms open.

  2. Breathe in slowly through your nose for a count of four.

  3. Exhale gently through your mouth for a count of six.

  4. As you breathe, notice the sensation in your hands—the openness, the release.

  5. Repeat three times, letting your shoulders soften and your jaw unclench.

  6. Whisper a word or phrase that grounds you—perhaps “Here I am” or “You are near.”

This practice can be done in 30 seconds, 1 minute, or lingered with for much longer.
It is a reminder: silence is always available to you—whether for a breath, an hour, or an entire day.

The Ongoing Invitation

You are free to return to any part of this journey—30 seconds of quiet before a conversation, an hour of stillness on a Saturday morning, or a weekend retreat when your soul is thirsty for rest.

The way of silence is not a finish line to cross.
It is a life to live.
And the God who meets you here will meet you again, and again, and again.
